No longer number one

After three years of being the number one ranked golden retriever in NADAC agility, Breeze was the second highest scoring golden in 2015. Not bad for a girl who turns 10 at the end of this month.

She’s lost a step or two, but so have I. She’s still having fun, so she’ll continue to compete. Our male, Jinks, was third this year, but he’ll rank higher that Breeze next year.

At the NADAC North American Championships for 2015, Breeze finished seventh in her division, behind 4 border collies and three Australian shepherds. (In 2013 she was fourth behind 3 border collies - We only compete in the championships in the odd-number years, when they are held in the east.) In both years, she was the highest scoring sporting dog in all division.

It’s been quite a run and I’m going to enjoy her “golden” years.

  • Once #1 always #1! Congratulations to you both for the success over the years, may you both find fun in the competitions for years to come, and may Jinks have as much fun and success.

#2 is still a great accomplishment.

Yep, especially after holding the #1 position for three years. Congrats.
