Number of dogs?

To satisfy any possibility of discovery, make sure you get a name of the person who tells you its OK to bring more than the posted number. I always did when getting such a reply But it never has been an issue.

one dog is ideal. two dogs is the limit in many many parks.

Just say you have two, no one will be able to tell the Malteses apart, just walk them separately...

It would never cross my mind to ask for an exception to such a rule- maybe because I've seen so many threads here from folks complaining about a campground's lack of enforcement/special treatment etc. If anything about my setup/party is inconsistent with posted rules, I just look elsewhere for someplace I'd fit in better. I'd sure hate to be in the position of annoying any neighbors who might have chosen a place in part due to their own preference to avoid places with less restrictive rules.

But I'll be fascinated to hear what this resort says to the question- do please keep us updated!

Cats are generally a "non-issue", as are any other pets that never leave the rig. We have ran into parks that "talk" about a 2 critter limit. But if they don't know about the inside ones, who cares?

We've usually had 3 dogs camping with us, and had no problem finding a place to accommodate us? KOAs are usually VERY dog-friendly; many have nice, fenced dog parks. During our trip to Alaska - we ran into a park that had a 1-dog limit, and we had 2. I called anyway - (there wasn't much to choose from!) and they simply asked us to walk the dogs separately so as not to antagonize anyone...LOL!
