When we got our overweight 118# Rottie in Feb. she would sometimes whine when getting up in the morning. She now gets one Novox,(generic of Rimady) twice a day, two Glucosamine/Chondroitin caps twice a day and a Tramadol twice a day as needed. She shows no sign of pain. Hops around like a rabbit at meal time. Losing 12# probably also helped. Our other dog @ 55# gets 1/2 Novox twice a day and doesn't limp on his front leg anymore. Our 12-13 yo Pit who has been on Sam-e as a liver maintenance for 8-10 years shows no sign of joint problems. It's advertised to also be good for joints. Their claims must be true.......
