Being from Canada our test numbers are different so I don't know what a good number is with the US system. With ours it is somewhere between 4-8, some say 10.
We have ours on a light food mixed with a senior type food. Both are grain free. She has had the itches before and from what we can tell it was from some of the ingredients in the food. Weather it actually was the grains I don't know but it stopped with the change in foods.
