Is the Royal Canine Diabetic something one can get only from a Vet? I'll have to do a little research.
On a positive note we are finally getting a full time vet starting June 1. Up until now it has been one or two vets every other week. Shelby will have another vet to charm.
I'm not sure if their Diabetic formula is purchased on a prescription basis. However, it should be easy to find out if it is, or not.
If it is by prescription, I would recommend checking out Royal Canin's "where to buy" locator service in their web-site; Where to buy locator is located in the center of the page.
Oh, gotta select your country first. The link is for the USA.
After finding the closest retailers or vets in your area who sell the formula. Shop around for the best price.
I'm not sure how much the diabetic formula cost, but for an example; Calvin's on Royal Canin Potato and Venison formula. His is food can cost anywhere from approx $75.00 to $100.00 per case, give or take a few bucks.
I purchase his food from a local Veterinary Clinic for $79.20 per case, out the door, or tax included. A large pet store chain sells it for IIRC $100.00 a case plus tax.
