FYI......you know by using a thermometer. Ideas like thermometers (remote temperature sensors) come about by thinking how can it be done safely as opposed to automatically saying it can’t be done safely.

Yup, I know what a thermometer is. We even have them here in Alabama! But thanks for your description anyway.
Now, that all being said, dogs still have no place in a pickup bed. In case of an accident, all the insulation, fans, and thermometers you might have won't do much good. If the dogs can't fit in the cab with the family, please board them.
