- magnusfideExplorer IIYou can't fix 'stupid'. Poor dog.
- brireneExplorerI wonder more about the judgment of the vet who allowed this while the dog was sedated. I don't get it, but then again I don't get human tats either.

You have just removed a major component of the dogs immune system, probably because of a tumor (if percentages hold) and you subject the dog to unneeded, unnecessary additional stress and potential infection, just plain stupid.

- CA_POPPYExplorerI think the dog had her spleen removed because of an accident, note what seem to be multiple abrasions. And to make the poor animal hurt anymore than she has to is indefensible. We are here to take care of them, not mutilate them for our own amusement. Can't say what I really think...mods and all...
- nabiExplorerVery sad..I wonder why the vet allowed this, knowing the dog was compromised ...bad decision all around...and now what, is the poor dog going to be continually shaved to show off the tat ???
- workhardplayha1ExplorerNeuter the owner
- Dog_FolksExplorerWhomever regulates the vet should also look it this.
The vet allowed this activity, which IMHO borders on abuse? - dahkotaExplorerVets allow/put tattoos on dogs all the time. So this time, it is a heart and names on the dog instead of a bunch of numbers. It is still a mark that allows the owner to identify the dog if it is lost or stolen. I'm sure no one here would complain about it if it was a serial number.
If you want to get upset about something, how about morbidly obese dogs? Or dogs left in small cages all day while their owners are away? Or dogs chained to trees all day? Or dogs left in cars while their owner shops or tours a museum? I've seen them all at campgrounds and tourist spots. And worse. - dockmasterdaveExplorerHow about small dogs sitting on the owners lap while driving, or walking around on the front seat/dashboard. That'll work great when you have to slam the brakes .
