A couple of years ago, we had our current dog Darcy's dental done at a vet's office. It was a nail biting time for me, as I'd never had a dog anesthetized before, except for spay or neutering. They ended up extracting her two front upper teeth (anteriors?)because they were a little loose. We knew an abuser had kicked Darcy in the mouth before we got her, so that's apparently the cause of the looseness. I had noticed Darcy mouthing kibble in an odd way, and that is why I took her to the vet. Since then, it's just been me brushing her teeth daily and current vet says they look great.
