- CroweExplorerIt's not just boys - I was on the phone with my sis when I heard her shriek "AJ - WHAT are you DOING????"
It seems 4 yr old AJ was pretending she was a dog, "and dogs go potty outside" :-)

Sorry-it's a result from being the only female in the house and hanging around male dominated venues for years (boy scouts and gun clubs!)! :B

Regrettably I have seen this as well. Guess the "need" to mark territory was never bred out! :B

Barking? Not mine. It's kind of hard to "leave your dogs behind" when you travel with a truck camper :-)
LOL! We're leaning heavily towards a TC as our next RV. Too much turmoil right now with our on again/off again house hunt to make the commitment right now. - Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer II

My dogs have ZERO impact on a campground.
I disagree. Unless they never leave the unit and you give them only water you've provided from home there is an impact, however small. Even if you pick up after them if they've urinated it will kill grass/plants that may need to be replaced. If you use a provided exercise area there's the impact of dog feet plus maintenance on the area. If they bark (and if you aren't with them 7x24 you don't know for certain unless they can't bark) then the potential impact is someone leaving because of the noise. Zero impact? Nope. Minimal impact? Maybe.
I understand what you're saying - but I tend to keep my dogs on the road for walks; and we usually walk off-park for potty breaks if we can. Regarding them urinating on a tree - since I have observed male humans doing the same on more than one occasion (????!!) I assumed that's "proper RV Park etiquette" ;-) LOL!! But yes, they DO drink the water and breathe the air, so I guess I can't say ZERO.

- BCSnobExplorerOur camps typically have fewer motorhomes and more LQ horse trailers & 5th wheel or bumper pull toy haulers. In addition to little barking we also have many off leash dogs walking with their handlers. It's not uncommon to see someone walking across the field with 4 or 5 (or more) off leash and staying with their owner (but not in heal). In the evenings (after the days events) there may be a mob of 20-40 Border Collies running around (off leash) playing with each other in the designated dog walking field.
- rockhillmanorExplorer IIHere's our dog show. In an open field of 40+ acres.

Ya some get crazy and paint a full body paint picture of their dog on the MH!
BTW: Over 2,000 dogs on this CG site and come quiet time of 8:00? You can hear a pin drop except for the sound of the caps coming off the beer bottles around the campfires.
Yup, you CAN teach dogs not to bark at CG's. :W - CroweExplorerWe did go to a campground twice last year; paid to use their dump station
That's not STAYING at a campground! That gypsy camp was probably a sight to see!
