- SuperiorBoundExplorerCamping in mostly MN state parks my choice is electric or non electric so no I don't mind paying if I am going to use electric, or not paying of I am not going to use electric. I wouldn't be happy with a menu of extras at an extra charge however.
- CroweExplorerShould be clear on the website or reservation confirmation. My hunch is some conveniently "don't see it" so they don't have to pay it.
- Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer III like having a choice? Often, we're just spending the night and don't need all the amenities one would want for a week of camping, for example. So I like parks that offer "cheap seats" - just electric and water hookups, (or even NO hookups) for example.
But I will try to avoid places that upcharge for pets. My dogs have ZERO impact on a campground. - eubankExplorerA la carte pricing is a response to folks who want to pay less for fewer amenities, in my view. How many threads have you seen where folks ask for just a super-simple overnight site (and nothing else) for less money?
Lynn - GordonThreeExplorernope, I would pay no extra. it's not like my dog is going for a swim in their pool, or will be using the showers.

Do you like, or don't like, pay'in extry for stuff when check'in in?
NO.
When I pull in and the rate is supposed to be 30 bucks and the guy starts adding for extras,
is when I put the MH in reverse and leave.
....actually I can't go in reverse with the toad so I slowly drive thru the CG to get the guy worried I'm gonna park somewhere and then leave!:B - K_CharlesExplorerYears ago we were on the way to the gaspe peninsula with a pop-up on the back of a ford falcon. This farm had a sign that said camping so we stopped. The farmer pointed to two picnic tables in a pasture and said to close the gate so the cows wouldn't get out. We gave him $5.00.
I don't mind paying a little more money for a little more stuff. - AZPopsExplorer
