We adopted Maggy last September and she is very slowly coming to accept my DH and actually walk with her tail not between her legs.
There is no better feeling than seeing your new addition happy and healthy!
I remember a Dog Whisperer episode where Cesar actually tied a string to the dog's tail and walked her holding the leash AND that string. He was forcing her into a tail-up attitude and what do you know? It did seem to help the dog's confidence level, but it sure looked weird. :B
