well I filled out an adpotion application today

I filled out one about 3 weeks ago knowing it was a long shot since she was in Maryland and they don't adopt out of the area and we are in NC but she spoke to me. So today I filled out one and she is about an hour away. I don't know what will happen but I know we would be lucky to have Miss Itsy and hope for the best.

We adopted Jazzie who was 10 yrs old in 2013 but due to so many health complications she passed away and it was so devastating that didn't know if we could do this again.

If it doesn't work out, just hope Miss Itsy will find someone that will help her with her health issues.

Thanks everyone and thank each of you for adopting!!!!

Please let us know how your application works out.
What kind of dog is Miss Itsy? I'm assuming she's tiny?
  • Good for you. We adopted an 8 year old Pomeranian back in 2008 or 2009. She had health issues as well. She lived until December of 2013. Health issues finally caught up to her. We gave her a great home for the for years. It really broke our hearts when she left. Never thought we would have another one. But here we are adopted a 3 year old Pomeranian last June.
  • "Higgins" joined me just about a year ago. He's a three year red Dachshund that a local rescue group got from the pound. He's my best buddy and loves to travel with me. He sits up in the front seat of the truck like he owns it.

I had never adopted before and now I wish I had. There are so many "Higgie's" out there that need a full time home.
  • Thanks for adopting.

As fosters to 40+ Jack Russells (not all at once), we know the importance of spay and neuter.
  • Hurray for you. Lots of dogs that need their forever homes.

Adopted an 8 yr old Golden and she lived to age 14. Adopted another at age 6, now age 9. Both great dogs.
