Thank you! I was not aware that you had a separate pets forum. - ShavanoExplorerMoved to Pets forum
Moderator Travel Trailers - Opie431ExplorerCat had his own bunk. A litter box, food dishes on a tray and a Rubbermaid box with a blanket facing the window so he could look out. And if it was not fixed up right away he let us know that he was unhappy.
The litter box sat in a low cardboard box so the litter was not tracked all over. It was about eight inches longer than the litter box. - dancoppinsExplorerWhen we had cats, we placed the litterbox in the cabinet reserved for a washer dryer combo and left the door open. It worked well. When actually travelling the cats rode in the truck, NOT the fifthwheel.
- kknowltonExplorer IIOur TT - and one other floorplan we have seen so far - has a spot that's perfect for a litter box, in the bathroom beside the toilet, under the counter next to the bathroom sink. There's an open space under the counter that is the exact size of a litter box. :) Hard to find! A little tough for cat's "mommy" to reach into to clean it out, but doable, and the litter box is out of the way and in the bathroom, where I would sure rather keep it!
Cat rides in a small-dog carrier in the truck with us; we carry her IN the carrier between truck & camper, since she's a strictly indoor cat, and isn't too good on the leash. :) - MookieKatExplorerThank you!
- GypsyStephieExplorerWe have a MH and found a solution that works well for us. We cut an opening on the side of the steps that goes into a basement compartment. (The compartment is sealed off so that it's a cozy size. We keep two litter boxes in it and there's room for extra litter and the scoop.
We just discovered a litter system called "The Breeze Litter System". The box is two sections. It uses pellets in the top part that lay on a grate. Under that there's a pull out drawer with a pad like an absorbent diaper. The cat goes on the pellets, urine falls through onto the pad and the solids stay on top. Some cats take a while to get used to this, but the best thing about it is that litter doesn't get tracked all over the RV. We love it! You can read reviews on Amazon.com if interested. Some Walmarts and pet stores sell it, too.'
We have two cats. One rides curled up on the couch. The other hides under my chair or other place where she feels secure. - thomasmnileExplorer

Where do you keep the cat litter box? Also, where does your cat ride when using a TT?
We have one old miniature wiener dog and one recently acquired feral cat. The cat experienced her first RV trip in June. Both cat and dog ride in the front seat with us and largely sleep while traveling. We are also acclimating the kitty to a harness and leash. Not wildly loving it, but she's catching on.
We keep a covered litter box under the dinette. Best place for out of the way, and the only good location in the trailer to be honest. Cat found it and immediately got with the program. We also leave puppy training pads on the galley floor for the dog ( just watch where we step). He's an old guy (about 16) and it prevents him from having embarrassing accidents. All in all they travel pretty well. - dadmomhExplorerDogs only around here, but MHO is that cats should ride in a carrier in the vehicle. Anyone who comes into our vet's office without the cat carrier gets a serious talking-to about how they can get spooked and be gone in a flash.
If we had a cat, there is no good place in our TT since it has a glass enclosure and the only/last choice would be sitting in front of the refrig. - HappyKayakersExplorer IIIDome litter box next to the futon. Cat rides in the 5er when traveling. When she hears the slide motors starting, she goes to her safe place.
