A "preferred" cigarette lighter cellular charger???

Some of these mini USB chargers cost four dollars and I am suspicious. I would rather pay twenty dollars and get a superior grade of charger. Only problem is I haven't a clue what constitutes a superb...

There is one shaped like the letter Y I got at Big Lots, not much $$$, but it is , I think 2 amps capacity... I have paid more and gotten a half amp.

My phone needs a minimum of 1 amp when telling me where to go (Google map in navigation mode).
