- wildtoadExplorer IIWe swapped an IPhone 6s and a 6 Plus for the new 8 and 8 Plus. Wanted to stick with the button and finger print security over facial recognition. In a few years if the X technologies prove themselves and I have a few extra bucks, will trade up again. Also bought a last generation IPad Pro and Apple Pencil on eBay. Have had a few fun days (seriously) upgrading phones, upgrading the IPad. Fairly soon I’ll be able to kick the last remaining Windows box to the curb.

Just like the title says. Is there anyone here planning to buy the iPhone X?
I've talked to a lot of people and I have yet to meet anyone who is planning to purchase this phone. (Myself included)
Thanks,
Jeremiah
Over Priced, Over Hyped, and outdated tech before it even comes out.
I met S. Jobs a few years ago and he was just like the product described!:E - BumpyroadExplorerany outfit so pompous that they have a "genius bar" won't get my $$$$$
bumpy - pianotunaNomad IIIGee whiz, I'd better trash my Galaxy s4 that is four years old and works perfectly. It even survived being dropped in dirty water for ten minutes.
On the other hand, in 1996 I bought a top of the line Mac laptop. Within a year there was a new OS, and I had some software that required what was called "real mode". Even though I had maxed out the ram, the software would not run. Never again will I buy a 6000.00 computer that lasted less than 13 months.
The unit would get static build up on the motherboard and that required me to "zap the pram". Which included a reboot, meaning a loss of data. Sometimes it would not stay running for an hour.
So my experience is the exact opposite of yours.Mortimer Brewster wrote:
Though they are significantly more expensive, I've found Apple products (iPhone, iPad and iMac) to be more reliable when compared with Windows computers and android phones. I don't miss the never ending patches and updates on Windows. Though not immune to malware and viruses, In my experience Apple products sure have a lot less problems than their Windows and android counterparts. - Mortimer_BrewstExplorer IIThe biggest problem with iPhones is their cost, which is why I won't be upgrading to the iPhone X. I might consider upgrading to the iPhone 8 plus if I can find a decent deal on it.

I don't like Apple products, but they have one heck of a marketing division. They have people behaving like sheep. The iPhone X will be selling like hotcakes...until the iPhone XI comes out. Makes no sense to me, but I try not to be lead so easily.
there will be people standing in line to buy the x just like some will be willing to pay more than $900 for samsungs galaxy note8 Galaxy Note8 - theoldwizard1Explorer IIJust the opposite ! I am hopping to buy a "gently used" iPhone 6 for a reasonable price.
