Anyone use PDAnet? new phone - trouble

hi folks,

I have used the full version of PDANet for over 3 yrs trouble free on a Droid X. Today, I finally had to get a new phone - Samsung Galaxy 4. I installed the PDANet app, used registration code to get it set up on the new phone. Thinking YES, got it. Wrong. Same computer, PDANet is downloaded, nothing changed on that end. The phone gives me a message to use the camera media connect, ?? The computer does not recognize or respond to the phone/usb connection. Any suggestions? I have free wifi here at this cg, so not a big issue now, but would like to get it straightened out if possible.

    Pdanet, aka firefox does not work well on Jellybean operating system. If you have one of the new cell plans you might now have free wifi hot spot, check it first.

    OP here. 4.13.2 PDANet version. Phone is Android 4.2.2 Not sure what any of that means, I am not very tec savy, just enough to get by when all is working - not much of a troubleshooter. Is there a way to contact PDANet? I have been on their webpage, large FQA section, but don't see a "contact us"

    Check your version of the operating system.

    My new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has 4.3 which has inhibited PdaNet. Earlier versions also inhibited PdaNet but those were overcome but 4.3 has them locked out for now.
