I won't try to discourage you from buying a Mac, but do try fixing your current machine first. Get rid of the malware and run a decent adblocker, as the others have stated.

And no, we don't get "that little circle that rotates forever", but on my old (ancient, really) Mac I did occasionally get the "spinning beachball of death". :B
