Satellite TV isn't going anywhere.....don't lose any sleep over it, it will be be for years to come.
It's becoming less relevant, or at least maintaining relevance only for those with a flipping addiction, and need to have *something* on in the background. - BillyBob_JimExplorer

Of course not! It's just another timmac rant about how much he hated satellite TV. He could care less that very few people traveling in RV's go to places where excellent cellular reception would even allow streaming.

It's not even worth discussing other than mentioning the temporary inconvenience. - D_E_BishopExplorerI don't know how to state this clearly, I don't like much of the available TV programming. If it were up to me, we wouldn't have cable in the stick and brick. So I guess you can put me in the group of those who think it is a waste of money to have cable, satellite or to stream and not the best use of my time.
However, as my abilities to get out and commune with nature dwindle, I am finding a recliner and a computer on the table are replacing my hiking and other outdoor activities and I am looking at options that will give me more and faster computer time. I even bought a almost smart phone so I can make cell calls at our favorite campground without using the payphone. No cell coverage and no OTA TV there and the campground WiFi is well, typical campground WiFi , so it looks like an even smarter smart phone and a plan that will undoubtedly include some streaming feature, whether I want it or not is in my future.
It just seems that, that is the way things go in today's world. All that stuff that was Buck Roger-ish when I was 5 or 6 years old is becoming old hat today. Thank goodness that courtesy and neighborhood-ism is still alive in the world of tenting and RVing.
Just an old man's lament. - Dutch_12078Explorer III

Still no CBS in CO. Got a credit. Guess I don’t miss it. Could do without a lot of them I don’t watch.
If you're in the Denver market area, the Locast app should work for you for the locals. - FlatBrokeExplorer II

Those of us with DNS still have CBS. DirecTV just switched the feed from a NY station to a DC station.
Thank you DirecTV. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer II

What better to do on a Saturday than watching Dean Johnson remodel a bathroom?
Well.... My wife came up with a good answer to that question..... Since we cut the cord I have remodeled two houses including three down to the stud bathroom remodels.
Sometimes I miss Dean Johnson.....
Dean Johnson is not on there, but you can watch HGTV on the HGTVgo app, but it too is streaming, so you have to have an internet connection.
