The amplifier in is the batwing head and requires 12 volt dc to operate. It feeds to the amp via the coax that the amplified signal comes back from the batwing head.
You should be able to get a small 12 vdc power supply (wall wart type) and connect it the amplifier switch/wall plate that should come with the new batwing system.
