T-Mobile probably has the cheapest "no contract" plan coupled with real customer service.
I used to have a TRACFONE, the old phone was years old so I bought a new one and called Trac to have my number changed.
They hosed it up and told me they couldn't fix and and restore my old number.
Then I needed to add money, added it on the phone and the money didn't appear. Called Trac and they told me due to the mis-configure when they didn't move my old number over, the $100 I added had gone to another number and there was nothing they could do. I bumped up, and up, at least two levels, and they all said there was no method for them to put the money on my card.
At least with T-Mobile, I can walk into the local sales office and get someone in person.
