They have "standard" plans starting at $10 for 120 days (that's less than $3.50 a month). As long as you renew every 120 days, the unused minutes rollover. They use the Verizon network. Almost any Verizon phone will work with them, so if you have an old Verizon phone (or obtain one from a friend or relative), the phone cost is non-existent.
I've used them for years and never had a problem. You can port in an existing number for free and change plans each month if your needs change.
