I've had my same old T-Mobile pay as you go phone for about 5 years. You purchase the phone, pay 100.00 dollars for 1000 minutes which gives you "gold status" and from then forward any amount you add doesn't expire for 1 year along with rolling over previous balance.
You post reminded me to check my account for expiration which is about to come up soon. I just added 20.00 which in addition to my previous balance is good until next Oct. Not too bad, 20 bucks for a year.
