I think you missed the point- the store evidently does discount to online total cost, which includes the cost of shipping. Presumably it's still less than the shelf price at the bricks-n-mortar store.
Seems fair enough to me, and worth remembering.
Doubt I missed the point, since several have stated that CW will match online prices, not "prices if we can add the cost of shipping to your home, even though you're standing here, and walking away with your purchase". I have never heard of a retailer matching anything based on "total delivered cost" and it isn't something that seems fair enough for me. Bottom line is, I show up to buy a Honda generator that is listed on line for $950, and the store has six on hand, I'm not paying $950 PLUS another $50 in non-existent shipping fees, so I can carry it out the door myself. Sorry, but assuming that this info. is correct, it just serves to irritate customers in a semi-successful attempt to increase their profit.
