Maybe we should return to the beginning and ask the O.P. whether the resulting iPad files are to be used with or without a live internet or cloud connection. It makes a difference in what access apps you choose.
My iPad is used almost entirely without live internet. FilesPro, iBooks, etc. are great for that.
Thanks for mentioning that, I would prefer to access the contents of the CD on my iPad without the necessity of using wifi. However, Dropbox sounds like a good program to use if I must be online. That would work but not ideal. I'll download it anyway. At any rate I've learned a lot here. I'm new to iPad and the MAC OS but constantly learning. Thanks to all... - 1492ModeratorI'm more familiar with the Android platform and apps. Have been using a similar file app ES File Explorer File Manager that allows transfer of files using local WiFi. No internet connection necessary.
- bcsdguyExplorerI was going to question the moderator's comment about the two programs he listed not needing internet connection to transfer files but upon re-reading his entry, I see what he is saying and I agree that the two programs work on local wifi as well.
- 1492ModeratorDropbox would be the easiest if you have an internet connection? If just using WiFi, then an app such as Feem WiFi File Transfer - Free or Files n Folders, though have not personally used either.

- wildtoadExplorer IILook into DropBox. Once installed on your PC and IPad you can simply place the file(s) on your PC into the dropbox folder and they will be available on your IPad. I use it to view word, excel files. If you have an IPhone you can install Dropbox on there to and it will be there too.
