When canceling any subscription service the company usually sends you to a 'customer retention specialist'. It is that person's job to make whatever deals necessary to keep you as a customer. If not interested, just say no.
I started with XM monthly, then went to a five year plan, then to a lifetime plan. I use a portable radio and can transfer the subscription. A lifetime subscription on a vehicle radio cannot be transferred.
