I would not continue to pay for a service that is that incompetent.

It makes it harder for you to cancel with them. Some cable companies do the same.

What are we talking about.. a paper bill? Isn't it always the same amount that you can set up in auto pay? I didn't think anyone had to wait for bills these days.

Prepay for 5 months at a time. They have a 5 months for $25 promo. Then put it on your calendar to renew and get the same deal in 4 months and 3 weeks.

That one I have on auto pay and pay by the year. They send me an email once a year thanking me for my payment.

Then you're paying WAY too much.

The reason they send the bill out late (they sent mine out on the day it was due) is so if you cancel they can still bang you for a week or two for coverage you've cancelled.

In order to get a reasonable rate you have to call them up to cancel every time it renews. From a customer viewpoint, it is one of the most horribly run companies around.

Give them the date you wanted to cancel and explain the bill was late. They will honor your requested cancel date and refund any money owed. I speak from experience.

If they don't catch on. A friend tried this and they wouldn't honor the deal because he wasn't a first time subscriber. Gaming the system rarely works. I can't be bothered to waste so much time to save a few bucks.

They probably send bills out late to customers who insist on paper. More expense for them.

Having them send a bill is the only alternative to having the service automatically charged yo your cc.....at full price.

It's not gaming the system, it's simply saying you will cancel and bingo you pay half price.

I don't need the money but I don't like being charged double than I need to be. If I'm needed the money I wouldn't have the service at all.
