We have Verizon and the LG eNV. It works quite well as an internet connection with the Mobile Office Kit. I wrote about it in detail in
this blog postAt the time, I wasn't sure what it was going to cost me. They gave us one month free, and since we only used it a few days here and there it took a while to go thru that one month. this month, we were finally charged and they do indeed prorate the $60/month by the days you use it. Here's the line item from my Verizon wireless bill:
BBA Connect 5GB/$.25mb - 08/12 - 08/23 23.22
I think it's a fantastic option for occasional travelers. I also wrote about this in a
newsletter articleAs for turning it into a 'hotspot', you'll need a router. The folks at EVDOinfo.com can advise you on the best one.
