Not all phones have the Corning Gorilla glass screens. If this is what the screen is made of then no screen protector is needed. If it is not made of GG then I recommend Zagg Invisible Shield protectors installed by a competent installer at Best Buy or similar. Best protection is a good case and think before putting the phone in a pocket etc. since the risk of damage to the phone goes up significantly and no screen protector is going to save it. Phones get thinner all the time and pants pockets put bending moments on the phone. Screens are not flexible.
