Screen Protectors on iphone Probs?

I've always had cases for my iPhones, but no screen protector. I can't stand them as they never look quite right. Even when I had an Otterbox, I tore out the screen protector before installing it.

I find iPhone glass quite scratch-proof and if it drops just the right way, it'll shatter with, or without the screen protector.

With an Otterbox and those little smudges (on mine they look like oil slicks) I simply remove the phone from the case, clean the phone screen and the inside of the screen protector and let them air dry thoroughly before putting the phone back in the case. I have to repeat that once every six months or so. If you're having to do it very frequently, it's possible that there's a gap somewhere between the screen protector and the casing that's allowing dirt or moisture in. If you want to you can push out the screen protector part and use the case w/o it. I assume from your original post that your wife thinks she needs a screen protector, but the Gorilla Glass on iPhones is very durable.

I removed my screen protecter from Otterbox and replaced it with tempered glass.

All of the above is true, but there are cheap protectors that are pre-smudged.. They're simply cheap.

actually most of the time its dirt trapped under, other wise you could just push the bubble out. it is extremely important to work in almost a clean room when installing one

It is not moisture that you are seeing, rather it is tiny air pockets between the protector and the screen. If you are real careful, you can gently pull back the protector, slowing reapply and gently nudge the air pockets out. If you are not sure on this, take it in to any phone store and they will probably do it for free.

BTW, this can happen with cheap and expensive screen protectors so don't be taken that you need to use an expensive protector.

My kids and I have a tempered glass screen protector, about $30 at Verizon. Work great, both my daughter and I are butter fingers, we've cracked the tempered glass but not the actual screen.
My daughter likes it because it also allows her to buy cheaper cases and as a teen girl, she has to change cases almost as often as she changes her clothes.
