If I were going to do Li I'd be tempted to jump to 48 volts a la 2oldman.
Of course that means getting the following:
a dc 12 to DC 48v boost @ 60 amps for alternator charging
A DC48 to dc 12 buck for operating house loads
a new converter or battery charger for 48 volt
A new inverter with 48 volt input
If staying within the 12 volt parameter then:
a dc12 to DC boosted ~12 for alternator charging to prevent overloading the alternator.
A replacement converter or battery charger that meets the needs of the particular Li batteries.
A way to keep the li from freezing or relying on a heating pad.
