Chrome vs IE vs Edge

Is it me or does it seem that more websites are optimized for Chrome? I guess you could argue that Chrome is better (and it may be). I have been noticing that increasingly some websites run very very slow using MS browsers but then launch the same site using Chrome and it is much better.

Are sites being updated to run better on Chrome?

  • I'm thinking of switching to Chrome as I HATE Bing! I prefer Google for browsing.
  • I have been using Opera with the built in VPN and Duck-Duck-Go as the search engine for the past 3+ years and satisfied with how it operates on the websites I use. It is also free!

IE 10 will no longer be supported as of Jan 20, 2020. IE 11 is embedded in Windows 10 and Windows 2012 Server and up.
  • Try this one and import your IE over to it. I believe IE will die in January. It is very fast compared to IE. It reminds me of Mozilla when it came out.
  • Interesting graphic, Philh. I had forgot about some of those browsers...reminded me of Netscape and Mosaic.
  • For me, Edge is no good.. I'll use Chrome over IE, but sometimes IE does work better for whatever reason..

    Just my experience with it..

    Good Luck!

Frustrates me at work, large fortune corp... as some internal websites are optimized for E, some optimized for Chrome.
  • i still use IE as my primary browser but have noticed the same thing. don't like Chrome or Edge. have heard that MS is dropping Edge in favor of a MS version of Chrome. i use a customized home page frim IGHOME.COM which i cannot get to run in Chrome on Win7. switching to Win10 in a few months and that may clear that problem.
