Copilot app not working through vehicle speakers

I am using the premium Copilot app on my IPad 3. I paired the iPad to two vehicles, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2013 Toyota Highlander. It pairs fine, but I don't get any talking through the spe...

I found recently in a rental car using my Copilot app that it would not speak directions when I used the the USB charge port but worked fine when I charged with the 12 v adapter plug. My MH does not have the USB port so I never had this problem before.
