CoPilot RV GPS Navigation App

I just got an email from FMCA advertising this app. I did a search on here to see what was said about it, but what I found was in computer speak which I don't understand. Has anyone tried this app?
  • We also have been using CoPilot for RV for a few years now on both phone and tablet. We have it tweaked just the way we want it and it has kept us off of some dirt roads and other places we definitely would have been in trouble on as well as avoided low clearances, etc. We tried several other GPS solution before CoPilot and settled on it as the best available.
  • Howdy!

As a fulltimers Co-pilot is our go to app. I gave up on Garman years ago and started with Co-pilot basic app, then the trucker app and now using the RV app.

I have it on my Iphone and my Ipad and have been using it for about 3 years. After spending a small fortune on previous Garmin Gps's and faced with spending another $400 for another RV specific one I figured I would try the Copilot app, for $6.99 you can't go wrong. I would not go back to another Garmin. It avoids low bridges and propane restricted tunnels.
  • Sandia Man has it down, on my phone and my tablet. No phone signal no problem.
  • Have used time and again as there a number of areas in the four corner states where cell phone service is non-existent rendering most GPS programs useless. Have CoPilot on our smart phones and tablets and we use it along with other mapping methods to get to never traveled destinations.
  • I still rely on my Garmin but I have used Copilot on my IPad with no complaint.

been using it for a year. Before that I used the CoPilot app that had Auto and RV settings. I love it. Uses your phone's GPS so works even if you don't have cell service. Has most campgrounds, fuel stations, points of interest. A bit of a learning curve about 2 weeks before I really "got it". If my mind got "stuck" I would just refer to the documentation. I bought it and got the free year traffic. Not sure if I would pay the subscription for the live traffic but still evaluating.

Same here, but use it on a Verizon 10" tablet for a better view.
