You cannot use two coax with SWM. Thats why its called Single Wire Multiswitch. The LNB gets power from the power inserter. You need to feed the second TV from the SWM splitter.
If you have a HR54- why not use a wireless Mini Genie and forget the additional wiring?
Any you MUST use a SWM splitter not some TV splitter. Also you don't need the SWM8 box. Can't you configure your H24 for SWM? I did for my HR24. Plus I bought and configured the HR24 for a RF remote, hence no need for a receiver line of sight.
