direct tv
As of now I have dish, pay as you go, My son has Direct TV in his house. He does not have an RV but I do, So the million dollar question, If I buy another receiver can I get Direct TV about 200 miles ...

Look up the sat spot feed on a Sat feed Map and see if you are in his "oval" of local coverage ( don't have the web site for direct handy) .. You will get CNN HBO etc no matter where you are but the Local channels are what you may be out of range of
For the above comment the card doesn't need to "Talk" it just need to recieve so it doesn't need to be connected to a Phone line or internet to work as long as you aren't ordering pay per view via the TV.
Just FYI this is why the sat companies are concerned as they don't know where you are and feel that you being a separate person/ family should Buy your own service not "steal".... in their mind at least..... service. The reciever charge doesn't cover service in multiple locations. Otherwise 5 houses could share one account!!! I wouldn't discuss this with them in any way... They wont like it. (Its in the small print on your Son's agreement with them. )
