Direct TV
Took my direct tv dish on the road and of course I can't my local channels. I don't want to buy more equipment. Is there a way to get around this or get the major channels somehow else. Thanks, Dave

I'm sorry, but $15 is what I am being charged (as a flat fee) for DNS service consisting of NBC/ABC/CBS/Fox/PBS/CW (east coast feed only).
At one time the DNS service was charged on a per channel basis and maybe that is what you have if you are grandfathered in with both east and west feeds, but for the past three years this is what we have paid.
The "additional package" issue is because DTV won't permit you to have "non-DNS" service at your home and have DNS in the RV all bundled into one account. A number of people on these forums have gotten around this by "moving" all their receivers to the RV (and then conveniently taking a few of them back into the house.)
