Directv AM21N Wingard Sensor Pro Gain
Can the gain turned on to 20 on the sensor pro wreck the receiver card in an OTA receiver? My AM21N crapped out after only about 1 month of use. Not happy. 50 bucks down the drain.

- Actually is does affect performance exactly as you describe. But it won't kill the receiver.
- No. Turning up the gain on the Sensar Pro cannot effect the performance of a tuner. While I don't recommend turning the amp up that far other than in area with little or not TV reception, do so would not effect any TV tuner.
Turning the amp up to 20 will, in most cases, cause you to lose all OTA TV reception as it will over amplify the signal and prevent the tuner from properly holding reception. Turning it back down again will bring those strong channels back again.
