BOBO, I appreciate your mentioning the TABLO. We watch NOTHING live and with the demise of DNS (which I lost all on Saturday) an OTA DVR is something I want, especially since we are full timers that travel all over the US. I love my Trav'ler but there are sites that are not sat friendly and with DNS gone, an OTA DVR is on my high priority list. Yes, we can and do stream...but it is not as honky dory as some suggest.
Again, thanks for the TABLO recommendation...perfectly appropriate in this thread about losing DNS. - Community AlumniJust FYI i still have DNS East and West

I don't have satellite, anymore. I didn't enter into the conversation until Belgique said he was going to look at an OTA DVR. I pointed him to the OTA DVR we use at home.
Or, are you saying I shouldn't be even reading a thread on satellites? - Bill_SatelliteExplorer II

Sorry, won't work where we travel. No Internet, No cell service. If it don't come by satellite, we can't get it (and even then sometimes not due to mountains and latitude).Belgique wrote:

I have been using a Tablo OTA DVR since cutting the cord about 5 years ago. We are pleased. I only wish I had sprung for the 4 tuner model instead of the 2 tuner model.
We only use it at home. We don't DVR (or even OTA) while traveling. That is part of our "getting away."

Anyone still interested, yes, I still have E and W DNS. - BobboExplorer II

- BelgiqueExplorerPigman, me too. I lost ABC several days ago and yesterday lost E/W of CBS and NBC. Also got an email from ATT confirming the changes I requested....except I didn't request this. Oh well. Time to find an OTA DVR.
They gonna catch up with you Bill. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer III continue to receive E and W DNS (less ABC and CW).
