Hunter11 - That is what i did for years with my home DIRECTV account. I brought along two Directv SAT RCVRS and a carry out SAT DISH that had two OUTPUTs. I ran a RG cable to the SAT RCVR in the living room TV and the second RG cable to the SAT RCVR in the bedroom TV.
Then I used the VIDEO OUTPUT connectors of the SAT RCVR to feed the VIDEO INPUT channel on each RV TV set. I did not use the Channel three - Channel 4 connections.
This allows me to use the TV REMOTE to select CABLE TV from the camp ground cable connections - OTA TV from the BATWING Antenna to pickup full blown High Def TV from the local towns - SAT TV from the VIDEO 1 input... Click click click...
After the NATIONAL BROADCAST TV system started using full digital TV signals from the local towns we eventually stopped bring out the DirecTv SAt TV items. Watching high def TV is much better on the eyes and most of what we watch is the NATIONAL BROADCAST TV (CBS-ABC-FOX-NBC) shows anyway. This is also FREE to the public...
If we want to watch some cable TV shows at the camp grounds we just switch to CABLE using the TV remote. When camping off the power grid we watch the NATIONAL BROADCAST TV channels using the OTA BATWING antenna. If we want to watch some cable channels here then we downstream them from the internet which requires a pretty big internet dataplan...
