We have to call direct TV tech support and beg them to change our address to get SD programming. Give them your zip code and they can tell you if that area get SD signal. (Assuming you get a Direct TV tech that knows what you are talking about.)
How else can you get NBC, etc, using a SD satellite?

networks are 'spotbeamed ' to your billing zipcode. as you travel a distance away from there, you will lose those channels. You can call your provider to inform them of your new location, in which case they might authorize you to the local programming for that zip code.
You can no longer get your 'home'channels away from home or distant network channels via All American Direct.
