Pretty much any DirecTV receiver can support any dish UNLESS the receiver is one of the newer SWM-only ones that requires a SWM dish setup.
The good news is that nearly all antennas can be converted to SWM with the addition of a SWM8 switch and a PI-21 power inserter. As long as the LNB has two outputs the dish can be used for SWM. Some people on this forum have successfully used good old 18" round dishes for SWM reception. Of course, that dish can't receive HD, but some TV is better than no TV for most people.
The new Winegard Trav'lers (those sold in the last ~two years) are outfitted for SWM and all new residential installations are supposed to be SWM, or so I've been told.
