Can somebody please explain to me what chiefward and Bill.Satellite are talking about?
From my years of experience doing this (in Western states), I've learned that the signal comes in from much higher than you'd expect by just looking at the dish and arm, or the actual elevation number.
My Slimline dish is getting a great signal even though it appears to be blocked by bushes and another RV. Those bushes are a good 12" above the top of my dish, but that's no problem. The RV is off to the right of the line of sight.
