What's he's talking about is called an Offset Feed antenna, where the signal bounces at an angle, so knowing those numbers allows you to get creative when pointing through holes in trees. A standard parabolic, or Prime Focus feed is what you see on almost every other satellite and microwave antenna. But when you offset the feed, it gets everything out of the way and allows for a more efficient antenna because there is nothing between the satellite and the reflector. That's why they can make them so small and still work. A Prime Focus antenna would need to be quite a bit larger for the same gain.
