Disapointed with new Garmin

I bought it in Palm Springs a few weeks ago. Have made our way through Yuma/Mesa/Tucson and Tombstone.
Out of 20 addresses it has been wrong a third of the time. Guiding us a mile off at times. For example using it’s directory to go to Westwind RV Park in Yuma, a Park that’s been there for decades it directed us a mile to the west??
Also in the directory when you search for a business like say Best Buy, locations are listed where they have not existed for a long time.
Not impressed!
  • My Garmin 50 never misses an address... but it's an old, cheap one too.
  • I have a question about using cell phones as a gps. Does the gps function work when there is no cell phone service? I am a dinosaur and have a flip phone so just asking.
  • I gave up on Garmin several years ago. Google maps on my phone is easier and more accurate.
  • Didn’t do the update yet as I was prompted to add memory. That in itself is ridiculous as it is brand new. But I bought an sad card just a couple hours ago so will see.
As I mentioned above. It doesn’t guide us accurately to old business locations. I doubt updates will solve that.
  • download Garmin Express update and download new map.

Takes about 6GB depending on unit and 45 min depending on internet speed.
