you can use one lnb,set the skew at 0 and receive sat 61.5 which has all programing in SD,If you want HD aim at sat 72.7.on this sat is all HD programing except local networks. For coordinates go to aim dish screen an for dish type put in dish 300 and sat 61.5,now to find 72.7 it is about 5degrees higher and 7 degrees to the right (west). If your in an area where off air antenna works get locals from antenna and 72.7 for everything else.I know these 2 sat are eastern arc but I have used them west of texas.
I just finished setting up a Dish 500 for my new TT. I was able to get 119 and 129 on this antenna. I believe that it is possible to move the antenna slightly and receive 110 and 119 together. When you are setting up the HDTV receiver, set the switch setting to the 500 antenna to get two of the three satellites at a time. I use the same Pointing, Skew and Elevation settings on the Dish 500 Tables.
You can use the 500 Dish with a dual LNB. You will get as stated 110 and 119. There are some of the HD channels on those birds. If you have a spare receiver just take it with you and the 500 antenna and you can do quite well unless you absolutely have to have all HD. All their channels are digital. Good Luck and Happy Viewing.
The Dish 500 LNB will receive 110 and 119 so you will be able to receive nearly all of the Dish programming. However, you will receive little or no programming in HD. That programming is primarily broadcast on the 129 satellite which requires the Dish 1000 setup.
Best idea is to call customer service at dishformyrv.com. There are options there for using a fixed dish, so I don't know why it wouldn't work, but then again I don't know much about it.
