If you last successfully used this receiver with the same dish, then the answer is no.
You normally only run Check Switch when you are changing the receiver to another dish. As I understand it, the reason to run check switch is so the receiver can ascertain what dish hardware it is attached to and then I assume it self installs the correct software to use for that dish.
So for example if you changing from a Dishpro (twin LNB) to a 1000.2 (3 LNB) dish, or a 1000.2 (3 LNB Western sats) to a 1000.4 (3 LNB Eastern sats) then yes, run check switch and then save the new config.
Now if your traveler is not seeing the 129 sat, then tune to the 119 sat and then look a little lower and to the right of the 119 and see if you do not have an obstruction. If so, then move to a new location where you have a clear view and it should find the 129. The 129 sat is a few degrees to the right (west) and somewhat lower in the sky than the 119.
I have a pathway and even though I take the receiver out of the stick house which uses a 1000.2 dish, I do not have to run check switch – confused – I am also on that one!
