We have the pay as you go plan. I don't use auto pay. And, if we will not be using it next month, I simply do not pay and they cancel the service. When I want to restart it, I just call or chat, pay for the next month, and they restart it for another month. Per their web site.
How do I stop my service when I no longer need it?
.. If you only have Pay-As-You-Go programming, all you need to do is not pay your next invoice. This will automatically disconnect your services. However, if you have credit card auto pay on your account, you will need to contact DISH at 1-800-333-3474 to have this removed from your account before your services will be disconnected.
