Yes, your home locals will stop, everything else will continue. However you will receive the Florida locals at your Florida location along with your other programming.

I just used Chat for the first time to change my location. AWESOME. Quick and fluid. I hate hanging on the phone and pushing buttons.

I just give the closest address I can find.
I also use spot beam maps to find the best city to switch to while traveling.
Example, we were North of Calgary, AB. Town called Red Deer. I gave them an address in Missoula, Montana. This allowed us to get USA local channels from Calgary to Casper WY. on our travels. Then I switch to a Denver, CO. Address, we kept this until Boise, OK. Where We switch to a Fort Worth Address until we arrived in FT Worth. AND I always use the Chat Service.

...unless you have a Hopper. It has some great features that don't work with OTA.

... or if you like to visit out of the way places - like the Florida Keys, Outer Banks, or Cape May County - where OTA stations are far and few between .....

I have a coax feed from my batwing to my VIP722 DVR receiver. I then do a scan for local channels on the 722 when arriving at new location and getting dish online. Locals are then on the guide and can be recorded just like the others. I do not have to contact Dish Network this way and works just as good.

Thanks for the input. We are currently in Albuquerque headed for Tombstone AZ. Next time we use the dish I might try the chat.
