Update-----------I spent about 2-1/2 hours trying to get reception in the RV.
I took my VIP612DVD out to the RV. It had a HDMI cable so I took that also only to find that my 16" flat screen RV TV didn't have a recepter for the HDMI cable.
I hooked my RV antenna to the input of the SEPERATOR and the TV to the output of the receiver.
I roughly set the Older 500 dish to the proper AZ,EL, and Skew.
I went back inside the RV and I had a 70% signal on satellite 110.
I then did a test Switch and after a bit it read that I was missing components or something like that.
Then discovered I had no signal.
For the next couple of hours or so I tried adjusting the dish in EL and AZ to no avail. I also did some more switch test and tried the antenna again.
It got dark so I brought the receiver back in and hooked it to the house antenna.
It showed Satellite 110 as OK with green until I did another Switch test. Then it showed the Eastern Arc Satellites and all was back to normal.
For the life of me I can't figure where I'm going wrong.
SOME QUESTIONS
1. Do I need a new TV with a HDMI plugin?
2. OR Do I need a new outside dish that is compatible to the VIP612DVR?
With the older system I found it pretty easy to locate 110/119. I'm not sure how I would do trying to find 61.5.
Any help please! I want to try something tomorrow.
