I still don't believe the Dish 500 will get you the EA satellites but you should be able to get 110 and 119 if you have a very clear view of the SW sky. If you are seeing messages from the receiver you must be connected to your TV. How are you doing this? HDMI is only necessary if you want HD and there is little if any HD on 110 and 119.
